Measuring Presidential Success
Defining & Measuring the Success of a U.S. President is a nonpartisan community workshop designed to explore how we evaluate presidential leadership. Through an interactive discussion, participants will analyze key success measures—economic performance, foreign policy, social progress, crisis management, and more—while considering both objective data and public perception. The event will begin with an overview of survey results, followed by small-group discussions where attendees will debate key criteria and propose specific benchmarks for success. Groups will then reconvene to share insights and reflect on different perspectives. Rooted in Braver Angels’ ethos of civil discourse, this event fosters meaningful, respectful conversations on leadership, governance, and the challenges of defining success in a divided political landscape.
Media Bias

Through an interactive discussion, participants will analyze pressing questions—whether the media is biased, if different political groups inhabit separate media worlds, and how we can bridge these divides.
The event will begin with an overview of survey results on media perception, followed by small-group discussions where attendees will share their own media consumption habits and perspectives in a structured environment.
